Coastal Finish Almanac is published as a written resource. There is no reader inbox and no enquiry line.

Not a Contractor

Coastal Finish Almanac writes about painting contractor rather than selling it. It does not perform that work, quote for it, or arrange it on a reader's behalf.

How to Choose a Firm

The usual checks are still the ones that matter. Local licensing records, trade association listings, and quotes from more than one established firm with references that can be checked.

Keeping Guides Current

Guides are rewritten rather than left to rot. Standards change, materials are discontinued, and prices move, and a guide that has not kept up is actively misleading rather than merely stale.
